Northeast Ohio Regional Dairy Conference

The Northeast Ohio Regional Dairy Conference will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at the Fisher Auditorium located on the OARDC campus in Wooster. The theme of this year’s conference is “The Wheels of Fortune: Calves, Components and the Transition Cow”.

The featured speaker is Jesse Goff, DVM, Ph.D. Dr. Goff is professor at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Goff will speak on the following topics: Practical approaches to hypocalcemia prevention, Immune suppression in the transition cow; Why fresh cows get metritis, retained placenta and mastitis and Three forms of diarrhea your calves can get and how oral rehydration works.

The Ohio State University  Extension Dairy Production Economics Field Specialist, Diane Shoemaker, will also speak on the value of components and milk prices.
