February 5, 2020: New Pittsburg Large Animal Clinic Winter Dairy Producers Meeting

Topic: Milking Parlor Training for the Spanish Speaking Employees

At this meeting Dr. Doris Ledwith will cover proper milking techniques and the reasons why proper technique is so important for the health of the cow and milk quality. This meeting will be spoken in Spanish. This meeting will be held at The Buckeye Agricultural Museum and Agricultural Center located at 877 W. Old Lincoln Way Wooster, Ohio 44691 (across the street from the Wayne County Fairgrounds.) Registration is at 10:00 am with the meeting beginning promptly at 10:30 am. A catered lunch will be served. The meeting will then conclude approximately at 3:00 pm. Please RSVP by January 29, 2020 by either calling the office or letting one of the doctors know when they are at your farm.

 

February 26, 2020: New Pittsburg Large Animal Clinic Winter Dairy Producers Meeting

Topic: Calf Pneumonia and What it Really Costs You and are You Feeding Your Calves to Their Full Potential?

At this two-part meeting, Dr. Mark Armfelt will discuss symptoms and treatment options for calf pneumonia in addition to the costs associated with calf pneumonia. The second part of his presentation will be on the benefits of feeding calves to their full potential and how this effects their growth, health and future production. Following Dr. Armfelt's presentation, we will give the results of our calf weight study that compared various feeding techniques used by our clients.
