Wayne County Farm Tour

The Wayne County Farm Tour will take place on October 8th and 9th from noon until 5 pm. There are seven stops on this year's farm tour and they are located in the northeast quadrant of Wayne County.  There are a variety of stops on this year's tour so there will be something for the entire family!  Also, be sure to come hungry...there will be food and drink vendors at each stop.

The stops on this year's  farm tour include:

Stop # 1 - 3D Meats, 14740 Lincoln Way E.  Dalton, Ohio 44618

3D Meats is a meat processing buisness that offers custom processing and they also sell meat in their retail market.

Stop # 2 - Skylar Brook Farm, 12853 Baer Road. Orrville, Ohio 44667

Skylar Brook Farm is a 35 acre farm produces evergreen landscape nursery trees, Christmas trees, alpacas, and alpaca fiber products.

Stop # 3 - Orrville Railroad Heritage Society, 145 Depot St. Orrville, Ohio 44667

The Orrville Railroad Hertitage Society focuses on educating visitors about why the railroad was brought to Orrville by Judge Smith Orr.

Stop # 4 - Bristol Dairy, 6818 Coal Bank Road. Marshallville, Ohio 44645

Bristol Dairy is owned and operated by seven generations of dairy farmers.  The Douglass family milks cows at three different locations all located within Wayne County. At Bristol Dairy the cows are milked three times per day in a double 50 parallel parlor. 

Stop # 5 - Rittman Orchards, 13548 Mount Eaton Road.  Doylestown, Ohio 44230

Rittman Orchards is one of the area’s oldest fruit farms, functioning since 1922. The orchard is diversified fruit farming spread across 125 acres dedicated to over 70 varieties of apples, more than 20 varieties of peaches, nectarines and other stone fruit, and various kinds of berries, pumpkins and many other types of produce. 

Stop # 6 - Stoller Organic Dairy, 10451 Eby Road. Sterling, Ohio 44276

Stollers’ Organic Dairy Ltd. is owned and operated by the Stoller Family.  Many of the old buildings remain with the house and barn dating back to the 1840s. In 2001, the land was certified organic before there even was a sustainable market. The cows have been certified organic since 2003.

Stop # 7 - Walnut Hill Grain, 6113 Sterling Road.  Sterling, Ohio 44276   **This stop will only be on Saturday**

Walnut Hill Grain buys and receives grain and sells Walnut Hill brand bagged feed and animal supplies.
